There’s nothing mainstream about this exclusively Vancouver pizza joint started by three BC Art School students in the late 80s. The Flying Wedge makes artisan and gourmet pizzas using only the freshest organic ingredients all across the lower mainland. Sure, you’ll find the classic pepperoni, bacon cheeseburger and ham and pineapple slices hot and ready to eat at the Flying Wedge, but you’ll also see out-of- the-box flavour combinations like duck pizza with blueberries on flax seed infused crust or the Rosso Bossa Nova with Rosso Bruno tomatoes, bocconcini pearls and goat cheese.
More of a quick service restaurant, the big business at the Flying Wedge offers take out and delivery at all 14 locations across the Lower Mainland. But many of the stores also offer comfortable seating for patrons to enjoy a meal. Most locations also have large screen TVs for guests to catch the game or just about anything else.
Best Pizza in the City
Organic is not just the latest fad for the Flying Wedge, this pizza shop remains committed to the idea from the outset. A willingness to try more than the average pizza chain has made Flying Wedge a popular choice across the city. So much so it was named the West Enders readers choice Best of The City award winner in 2007. You can go just about anywhere for pizza but you can’t get Flying Wedge Pizza anywhere else.
Tips: Free Delivery & On-line Ordering
