Profile Last Updated: January 28, 2009
Named for the number of vertical feet Blackcomb Mountain stands above the village below, the Fifty Two 80 Bistro and Bar also towers over much of the competition amongst Whistler restaurants. With its fabulous views of the mountains above, warm fire-lit setting and high quality food, Fifty Two 80 is really in a league of its own. The restaurant was named Whistler's Best by the Vancouver Sun and remains among the top spots on the Zagat Survey.
Local Flavours
The truly inspired menu features the best of local cuisine. The signature spit-roasted specialties are sure to please, as is the grilled Canadian prime rib. The Fifty Two 80 Bistro also promises the most fresh and carefully selected seafood in the village. Freshly shucked oysters, market-fresh crab, lobster and prawns are all prepared daily. Meanwhile, the perfect bottle to accompany any meal also awaits on Fifty Two 80’s extensive wine list, featuring a unique collection of British Columbia Wines.
Among Whistler’s Best
In the summer months, guests can dine al fresco on the heated 70-seat patio featuring an outdoor wood-burning fireplace. Reservations are highly recommended for dinner because the exclusive room seats just 90 people. If you are looking for the best Whistler has to offer, the search begins and ends with the Fifty Two 80 Bistro and Bar. Try the Ahi Tuna Tower, or a basil gimlet for a unique taste.
