Cycling into Summer
Fanatyk Co. also sells a huge selection of middle to high-end mountain bikes and begins receiving new shipments around February. Check out the blog on their website to get updates throughout the season and find out what models you can expect to see for the bike season. They have a pretty comprehensive layaway program for those who can’t afford the full payment up front. More casual riders can always rent downhill, freeride or trail mountain bikes. The store also specializes in technical bike repairs and carries a variety of after-market parts and accessories. Fanatyk Co. also sponsors at least one Toonie Race each summer. The cross-country races are put on every Thursday by the Whistler Off Road Cycling Association (WORCA) and generally attract up to 300 riders each week.
