Unique Location
Situated in the beautiful Granville Island, the False Creek Community Centre boasts a feature that sets it apart from other community centres: water. With direct access to Elder Bay and its water park, there are a number of activities available to the FCCC. The water park is the largest free water attraction of its kind in North America and is open from 10am-6pm throughout the summer for the young and the young at heart. Waterfront activities like canoeing, kayaking, and dragon boat make use of it’s proximity to Elder Bay.

Children’s Activities
As a community centre, the False Creek Community Centre has seasonally changing programming focused at children and youth: from daycamps and youth outdoor adventure programs in the summer to after-school programs and daycare during the school year. The centre also features opportunities to learn new skills, from digital filmmaking camps to tiny tot dance classes to sports programs, there are many opportunities for young participants to learn something new and stay active.

Something for the Grown-Ups
Let's not forget about the adults! There are seasonally changing programs for adults in the community as well, including improv, investment education, language, and crafts. If you're just visiting town or don't want to commit to an entire program, you can always drop-in to the fitness centre and take a class or work out in the gym. Some sports programs also allow drop-ins. Most programs require membership, however the cost is included in program fees. Check the website for details on upcoming programs or special events.
