In Your Own Backyard
Well, it could be. This championship quality course was built with an eye to becoming the centre of an upscale residential development, but it's an awful long commute. In the meantime, it's just one beautiful chunk of golf course.
It Has to Fall From Somewhere
The water, that is, that pours over the falls from which the course takes its name. And since you see them from top and bottom, be thankful that carts are mandatory on a layout the scales some 700 feet of elevation.
Well Within Range
Though not long, this mountainside course combines height and hazards to be just plain tough. But designers have tried to take the edge off by providing no less than five sets of tees, and a 2,000 yard total difference between the blacks and the golds. But even taking the short route has its perils.
A Chip Shot Away
Located quite close to the middle of nowhere, the Falls provides apres golf food and beverage facilities, but no driving range.
By Allowing Plenty of Time
You can get to the Falls from downtown. Take Hwy 1 past Chilliwack to exit 129 - Annis Rd. Go south to Hack Brown Rd then turn left (east) and follow it to Nixon Rd. Turn right there, heading up until you see the course on the right.
