At the cozy Ramada Inn on Broadway, the Fairview Pub is a low-key venue that showcases talented musicians every week. The weekly line-up could include anything from blues and jazz, to classic rock and funk. Dressed up in forest green accents on the dark-cherry walls, the appealing decor is a welcome hub for music lovers of all tastes and ages. The variety of live acts draws a gamut of spectators, with twenty somethings usually showing up for the rock bands and a more mature crowd for the weekly jazz night.
Booze to Stay or to Go
The chameleon-like bar also puts on good Monday night football events, with New York striploin and Big Rock brews on special. The brew and grub is worth mentioning: there are around 18 different beers on tap, and the menu offers popular choices, such as fish n' chips, burgers, steak and pasta. The best thing about this live act venue is the no-fuss atmosphere. There is no waiting in lineups and the drinks are affordable. If you're in the mood to enjoy a good brew at home, there is also the Fairview beer and wine store located just 50 feet from the bar; but if you decide to catch a show at the bar, you are not likely to regret it. Check the bar's calendar for upcoming special events.
