Not only do they make sure the coffee tastes good, but they ensure the footprint that harvesting and producing that coffee makes is as light as possible. The Ethical Bean cares as equally about good taste as protecting the global environment.
The Start
Lloyd Bernhardt and Kim Schachte established the Ethical Bean Coffee Company in the summer of 2003 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Before they opened the company they both lived in Latin America and found a personal connection with the country and its people. With two strong personalities, both with a sense of social and environmental responsibility, plus a love of great coffee, the Ethical Bean Company concept was developed and born. Ethical Bean is BC's only 100 per cent Transfair Canada Certified Fair Trade coffee roaster.
