The Scene
Fine dining with a dollop of funky, Uforia has become a downtown hot spot for well-heeled gourmands with a yen to treat themselves to caviar and the kind of fine wine that requires a co-signer to purchase. At Uforia, indulgence is in, and even though you'll put a dent in your wallet, your palate will convince you it was worth it.
The Menu
The cuisine is nothing if not eclectic, with influences ranging from Asian to Middle Eastern, converging on dishes such as oven-roasted Australian ribs and pan-seared ostrich in an espresso and vanilla-bean jus. They also offer an ever-changing selection of fresh game that's always uniquely and imaginatively prepared, and there's no question you'll have a culinary experience that goes way beyond the norm. Besides, how many restaurants are you going to find that have a caviar bar?
The Room
It's a little flashy, a little splashy, and the decor is a perfect match for the food. For a more intimate experience, make a reservation for two in Uforia's intimate wine cellar (which isn't actually a cellar) for a romantic dining adventure that one local society writer described as "the city's newest baby-maker." 'Nuff said. -Brent Furdyk
