Cheers to Beer
Dix is known for its delicious handcrafted beers. Brewed on the premises, the fresh flavours can’t be found anywhere else. For a great way to sample some new beers, you can check out Dix’s beer tasting events. Cask Thursdays — Vancouver’s only cask ale night — are a hit and offer small batches of unique and complex flavours. The mother of all sampling soirees is the annual Caskival, which brings together B.C.’s best brewpubs and microbreweries for a one-day tasting event.

On the Grill
Dix is much more than a watering hole. Go with an appetite and experience the unique taste of mouth-watering meat cooked in the smoker with young apple wood. You may have a tough time choosing from the extensive menu, which includes classics like beef brisket, St. Louis side ribs, Louisiana links, and originals like barbecued meatloaf. If you’re just in for a snack and a brew, you can nosh on ribs, wings, nachos and steak bites. Soups, salads and jambalaya are lighter options. Wraps and sandwiches are great for lunch and the “Original Aficionado” barbecue brisket sandwich is a house specialty.

Game On!
When there’s a big game on, Dix is party central! There’s room for 85 people in the restaurant and 65 on the pub side and it’s usually packed so come early and stay late! The funky restaurant has an industrial feel with metallic accents, a dark interior and large garage doors in the back that look on to a parking lot and other warehouse buildings.

All in the Family
Dix is just one in the Mark James Group family of brewery restaurants. So, if you like Dix, make sure to check out the other locations. From the Whistler Brewhouse to the Big Ridge in Surrey, all of the restaurants have their own personality and share the same commitment to quality service, a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. And if you want to get to know them better, many of the MJG brewpubs offer free tours of the facilities. You’ll be surprised and delighted by what you learn!
