Founded in 1984 and located in the heart of Vancouver’s South Granville Gallery Row, this internationally recognized gallery serves the corporate and private collecting sector. In a time when computers rule the creative channels, it is always nice to see artists creating the “old-fashioned” way. At the Diane Ferris Gallery, you can explore the works of notable names, as well as up-and-coming talent, who dive into their canvas armed with oils, charcoal and watercolors.
Still Life
Get swept away in the rolling fields of Elzbieta Krawecka’s landscapes, the simplicity of Xue Mo’s portraits or the haunting depth of Phil Borges lost children. Capture the delicacy of Dale Chihuly’s glass sculptures or the eclectic mixes of Gary Cody. Popular exhibits also include the transparent, but powerful ‘Dissolve’ exhibition by Justin Oglivie and the simple shapes of Judith Currelly’s ‘Living Systems.’ Each artist brings to the forefront the most dazzling use of colour and texture, fused with a seemingly endless talent. Those who love art in its most raw and classic form will enjoy spending the day perusing the works at the Diane Ferris Gallery.
