Every Day of the Week
When you crave authentic East Indian cuisine in a laid-back hotspot, head to Desi Downtown. Since bursting on the scene, Desi has created a strong following of regulars who come to savour aromatic dishes…every day of the week. Eat here once and soon you’ll crave this joint’s mouthwatering homemade creations stuffed with spice and everything nice.

A Spicy Start
On any day of the week you’ll find Desi packed with West Enders, tourists, and foodies sharing large-size apps and enjoying cool cocktails. Bring an appetite, because this joint’s dishes are hearty. On the appetizer menu savour fresh cheese fried with batter and infused with spices along with juicy wings and topping-loaded nachos. For a spicy kick, try the jalapenos stuffed with cheese and a blend of spices.

Do it Desi-Style
The aromatic smell of spices and garlic-loaded naan hits your nose the moment you step inside. Follow your nose, grab a table by the lively bar, and get ready to devour some awe-inspiring fare. Desi’s menu features a variety of chicken and succulent lamb dishes that hit the spot. The chicken tikka features chicken breast marinated in yogurt and cooked in an authentic tandoor oven. Juicy shish kabobs in either chicken, minced lamb or beef are so tender they practically fall of the skewer. For a spicy kick try the chili chicken cooked with onions, green and red bell peppers, spices and soy sauce. Also on the menu discover tender chicken in a creamy butter sauce, chicken vindaloo cooked in a tangy sauce, and a handful of veggie options. For a sweet ending, the Indian-style homemade ice cream comes highly recommended.
