Death by Chocolate was established in New Zealand in 1991 before spreading its sugary secrets around the world. When you step into one of the many chocolate shops you are greeted with a whiff of high quality cocoa which lingers in the air, luring you towards the counter. There are over 30 designer desserts to lust after, each one a miniature piece of art. Customers are also invited to watch the chocolatiers at work as they design, with artistic articulation, each satiny masterpiece.

Treat someone you love to a three-course dessert starting with the wonderfully strange Ice Burger. This delectable dessert masquerades as a burger and fries when in reality it is two luscious scoops of chocolate ice cream sandwiched between moist cakey-bread with strawberries and kiwi’s taking over the roll of lettuce and tomato complete with a side order of pineapple fries and a generous dose of raspberry ‘ketchup.’
