Dairy Queen is the largest seller of "soft frozen" dessert products in the world with more than 5,600 stores and still counting. Dairy Queen, or DQ, is the home of the Blizzard, soft ice-cream cone with the curl on the top and ice-cream cake. Their ice-cream cakes (in round, heart or log shapes) are available in many designs, from Looney Toons to Garfield. DQ does customized orders too. The fast-food chain also offers the "Brazier" line of hot foods.
A Look Inside
DQ stores serve a primo mix of hard and soft-serve ice cream and dairy treats. They are famous for their ice cream treats. These include floats, freezes, ice cream cakes, sundaes, milkshakes, Arctic Rushes and MooLattes. They also serve the Pecan Mudslide®, Brownie Earthquake®, Banana Split, the ever-popular Peanut Buster® Parfait and the Blizzard. The Blizzard, a big seller every summer, is a swirl of multi-flavoured soft ice cream and ground-up candy. It comes in sizes small, medium, large and jumbo. It’s available in a number of tantalizing flavours. Try it in Oreo, Smarties, Skor, Crispy Crunch, Georgia Mud Fudge, or Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. It comes in Reese Peanut Butter Cups, Strawberry Cheesequake and other classic flavours too.
Get it Quick
DQ stores also offer a fast food menu. It includes burgers, bacon burgers, cheeseburgers, grill burgers including the famous FlameThrower ¼- and ½-lb burgers, hotdogs, chilli dogs, and cheese dogs. Chicken, onion rings, poutine and fries are available too. Beverages include pop, apple or orange juice, milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, Misty and bottled water. Take-home ice cream cakes and ice cream bars are also available, as is a kids’ menu.
