In the centre of the village, next to the Coast Whistler Hotel, The Crab Shack Steakhouse & Oyster Bar promises fine dining in a casual atmosphere that everyone can enjoy. The lively, large and open 80-seat dining room is an inviting mix of upbeat music and modern decor, but it’s the fabulous food that keeps guests coming back.
Dry Aged Steaks and Quality Seafood
The steaks on the menu are all AAA Alberta beef uniquely dry aged for maximum flavour, but crab and lobster are truly what the Crab Shack does best. Strap on a bib, crack a few shells and dive right into some of the freshest seafood on the mountain at a reasonable price. Land lovers will also enjoy the Crab Shack’s 24oz. prime rib cooked to temperature. In addition, the restaurant boasts a fun wine list with something for everybody - experienced wine drinker or not.

A 30-seat patio opens in the summer, so guests can enjoy the tasty offerings outdoors on a warm evening. The Crab Shack is a true casual, fine dining restaurant, but those looking for something even more laid back will still find it. The El Furniture Warehouse is a 100-seat pub next to the dining room. It’s the kind of place you’ll find peanut shells on the floor, rock music on the speakers and a crowd always ready to have a good time.
