Easy On The Eye
The lawns and greens of Country Meadows public golf course are so naturally stunning that you might want to take a stroll here even if you’re not a golfer. The well groomed lawns and perfectly manicured greens are exceptional. The 18-hole public course challenges highly skilled golfers, but also doesn’t intimidate novices. There are practice facilities including a driving range, two chipping greens, and a putting green. Staff keep the greens and course conditions in excellent shape for individual or tournament play.
The Grille
The same attention to excellence that’s found on the course can also be found in the clubhouse restaurant. The Grille offers dining in unusual horseshoe-shaped padded booths, where friends can enjoy a fine meal in comfort. Chandeliers softly light the room, which is decorated with lots of greenery. A daily buffet with rotating hot items includes such dishes as Chicken Dijon, Poached Salmon in Dill Sauce, and Tortellini in Marinara Sauce. Several a la carte items are available, and a variety of seasonal vegetables and tasty salads rounds out the menu. A lighter lunch menu includes soups and chowders, sandwiches, and interesting salads that feature meat and fish. There are always a variety of burgers to suit the young and young-at-heart visitors at the restaurant.
Course Facilities
Clubs and carts can be rented at the clubhouse. Besides the excellent restaurant, there’s a 10th-hole Kiosk that serves sandwiches and hot dogs, beer, coolers, juice and soft drinks. For warm weather relaxation, a comfortable patio overlooks the golf course and tranquil lakes. This public course is a pleasure to play. It’s popular with tournament groups who know they’ll enjoy a challenging game on a beautiful course that’s as great to look at as it is to play.
