It's easy to feel at home at Coco Rico Cafe. The establishment is small, but there is a distinguished quality to the décor. On the walls is a mix of local art, Salvadore Dali posters and sports banners. There are several TVs, including a large flat-screen behind the bar. Out front is a heated patio and because the restaurant sits on the corner of Robson and Jervis, it is blessed with more space than most other patios in the neighbourhood.
While there is a pedestrian side to Coco Rico's menu – popcorn shrimp, chicken strips and pizza – you will also find plenty of dishes you haven’t encountered before. Besides bar-type finger foods, this restaurant offers eccentric meals and combinative entrees for those looking for a more unique dining experience on Robson. The specialty is Asian fusion tapas. From seafood delicacies to vegetarian dishes inspired by the Orient, the menu at Coco Rico’s holds a distinguished variety. The cafe’s breakfast menu is what you would expect for a hearty meal in the morning, from standard waffles and omelettes to different types of eggs benny.
From the Bar
Coco Rico offers local and imported beers and a small selection of wines. There is an extensive selection of martinis and cocktails that make this cafe a common drink stop. The restaurant also serves espresso and coffee for the after-dinner caffeine lovers.
