With its funky décor, reasonable prices and creative fusion of Indian and Asian cuisine, Clove has quickly become a Commercial Drive mainstay. The small dining room is warm and cozy with its rich tropical colors. And don’t worry about the people at the next table watching you eat or canoodling with your date –– elegant hanging screens keep away prying eyes. Candlelight and carefully chosen music make it the ideal place for a romantic evening.
Spicy Curries and Tasty Starters
Clove’s menu brings together the best of Indian and Asian cuisine. For starters, try the Thai Beef Salad, Pakoras, Gyoza or the deep-fried Wonton with Persimmon dip. For mains, Clove offers a tasty selection of curries, and with varying degrees of spiciness, there’s a dish for all types of palates. Another favorite is the Ahi Tuna, served with rice, salad, and bathed in coconut sauce.
Exotic Martinis and Local Brews
Clove is known for its drinks, and there’s nothing quite like a frosty beer to wash down spicy food. In addition to Asian beers like Tsingtao and Sapporo, enjoy locally brewed faves like Nelson IPA and R&B on tap. If something fancier is what you have in mind, try one of Clove’s signature Martinis, like the C-love, a simple but delicious mix of Guava juice and Gin. Wine and cocktails are also available.
