It’s a Circus in Here!
Cirkids is a family oriented school started by a group of parents in 1985 as a non-profit society. The aim is for children to be active, have fun, and meet new friends along the way while being safe – there is no competition involved. Housed in the Garden Auditorium on the PNE grounds – it is the perfect venue for high-flying escapades. A program is available for children ages four to 19 that runs the course of a year or parents can opt for an eight-week course to gauge a child’s interest or occupy them during the summer break.
Circus Acts
Flying acrobatics in the air, balancing on a unicycle, and learning to juggle can all be learned at CirKids – and maybe your child will do all three at once by the end of the program! Other program activities include acting, trampoline moves, and walking across a tight wire. The art of Tissu can be mastered too. Tissu, also called aerial ballet in silk, is the art of suspending from fabric while spinning and performing acrobatic movements to entertain the audience.
Performances and Parties
For friends, family members and other CirKids student there are shows throughout the year. Each spring there is a performance put on by the CirKids student body to showcase their talents and what they have learned and it is open to the public. The school has evolved as demand increases for the unique experience that can be gained from attending the school. Birthday parties, special events, and classes for adults are available too.
