Characters Taverna offers Greek food in a European setting. With both traditional and unique dishes, everyone is satisfied and content by the end of every meal. If you decide to dine at the restaurant, take advantage of the open patio. There are also smoking and non-smoking sections, to please every customer.

In the Village
When Characters Taverna first opened, it was situated in the heart of Vancouver’s Gastown district. In 2002, it relocated to its current location, in Davie Village. The move did not deter the regular patrons, however, who can’t stop coming back for more. White tablecloths with contrasting, plush, deep-red booths create an enjoyable ambiance, made even more memorable by the friendly and enthusiastic staff.

What to Order?
There are so many meal options at Characters Taverna, that there is something to please every palate. Choose from a wide array of appetizers, sizzlers, specialties, Indian or Greek cuisine, fresh pizzas and pastas, soups, salads and more. Greek classics such as kalamari, saganaki and spanokopita will get the appetizer taste buds going. Dive into some hearty entrees such as lamb, chicken or prawn sizzlers – dishes marinated in mild yogurt and served with onions and vegetables on the side. Make sure to view the extensive wine list, order a drink from the bar or try an after dinner drink to complete your meal.
