The Chandos Pattison Auditorium is located on the south side of Pacific Academy, an independent Christian school nestled in a residential neighborhood in North Surrey. The auditorium was built as a performance space for the school's excellent fine arts program and it remains true to its mission to this day. Superb acoustics, a Yamaha grand piano, and an orchestra pit are just some of its many features. During the school year, watch talented aspiring young dancers, singers, musicians and actors take to the stage in a range of productions including plays, musicals, dances, choirs and string ensembles. All school productions are free for the public.
… and the Community
Named after B.C. industrialist Jimmy Pattison's father, the Chandos Pattison Auditorium is usually reserved for in-house productions and academic events. But occasionally, it is rented out to community organizations attracted to the auditorium's fantastic space and superb acoustics. The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra performs here regularly for suburban music-lovers. It is also a good venue for conferences, seminars, and workshops. Aside from the 1,500-seat theatre, the building also has a lobby and a multi-purpose room available for pre- or post-event functions or stand-alone bookings. June is a busy time as the auditorium gets booked for other secondary schools’ convocation ceremonies.
