Open for lunch, dinner and even late into the night on weekends, Centro Mediterranean Grill offers a variety of cuisine from Italy, Greece, France and the various other countries bordering the Mediterranean. Made-to-order pizzas and paninis are a favourite for lunch, while the restaurant’s famous crab cakes, Ahi tuna and tried-and-true pasta combinations are great anytime. Using only the finest local ingredients, the kitchen also prepares a daily fresh sheet full of items that never steer diners in the wrong direction.
In the Centre of it All
Inside you’ll find an open kitchen framed by a dining room filled with exposed structural brick, timber beams and lofty ceilings. Linen tablecloths and an intimate atmosphere also give way to the action-packed heated patio on the street, in one of the city’s busiest nightlife districts. Concert and nightclub patrons keep Centro busy as it is walking distance to The Orpheum, The Commodore Ballroom, and The Vogue. Plus, the kitchen stays open until 1 a.m. on weekends, making it a solid spot for a late night bite. With a full bar, terrific wine list and an espresso machine, Centro has everything you need to keep the night alive.
The owner was born on the Greek island of Evla and has a varied background in the hospitality, food and beverage business. Add in a knowledgeable and friendly staff and you’ll discover a warm and welcoming dining experience in the centre of all the Granville Street action.
