The Scene
Straight, gay, or undecided, Celebrities is one of Vancouver premier party places. The brand spanking new lighting and visual displays are matched only by the world class sound system that throbs to the beat six nights a week. A fire left the bar fully gutted recently, but like a phoenix it rose from the flames and everything that was good about the place got even better. Unlike most of the big city clubs Celebrities does not shy away from great drink specials and long, long, late nights. But keep in mind, it is a gay bar filled with gay people having a great time. And these folks go hard all night long. It is definitely not the place for the straight folks who are faint of heart.
The Beat
Billing itself as one of the largest gay bars in Canada, Celebrities is an open minded and friendly place for anybody who wants to party hard. Weekdays offer up a mixed bag of beats from girlie pop to hard-core drrrty house. The Main level of the club features a large, central dance floor, a ground-level DJ booth, comfortable seating, a VIP section, a ventilated smoking room and two huge, full-service bars. The second level provides a unique, three-sided environment where you can escape, kick back and relax or just enjoy the amazing view of all the action below.
