Waterfront View
Overlooking the busy waterfront on the docks of Burrard Inlet, The Cannery has been an institution on the Vancouver dining scene since 1971. The rustic decor, constructed from aged or antique materials, is offset by tables draped in elegant white linen and dressed with the finest silver, china and crystal. It all contributes to a beautifully formal but not intimidating dining experience. Another very West Coast bonus: The Cannery boasts a private dock for charters and yachts to moor for lunch or dinner or to pick-up a picnic feast.

Fresh Seafood at its Best
The Cannery Seafood Restaurant is what high-end seafood dining is all about. The seasonal menu is an outstanding collection of creative seafood dishes, but many regulars may be surprised by the fact that a set menu even exists. The Cannery’s specialty is its amazing fresh sheet, with a huge variety of market fresh fish available daily. A minimum of 10 to 15 selections, from B.C. sablefish to New Zealand grouper, are available everyday.

Awards Galore
When you can cover an entire wall of your restaurant with awards of excellence for your wine list, chances are you're doing something right. With 400 wines on the list and 15,000 bottles in the cellar, the sommelier will be able to help you find the perfect accompaniment to your meal. In 2006, The Cannery won silver for its wine list at the 28th Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival. The food isn’t too shabby either, winning Best Seafood, Best Fish and Best Shellfish awards in the Georgia Straight. The restaurant also got thumbs up from readers for its view, service and romantic ambiance.
