Champion Ice
Not counting glaciers and polar caps, you'd be hard pressed to find as much ice in one place as you will at Burnaby 8 Rinks, reputed to be the world's largest ice rink facility. With four rinks on either side of a central dressing room area, hockey, figure skating and public skating coexist in swishing, slashing harmony. Burnaby 8 Rinks is also the official home of World and Olympic competitors and National and International Champions including the three-time Canadian Men’s Champion and three-time Grand Prix Final Men’s Champion, Emmanuel Sandhu.

More Than Ice
Much more than slabs of ice of NHL-standard size, though, Burnaby 8 Rinks also houses a weight training/exercise room, offices for several sports organizations, a sports store, complete physiotherapy clinic and training room. There's The Thirsty Penguin Restaurant and Sports Lounge for dining, drinking and watching NHL games on the numerous televisions throughout the lounge or viewing all eight rinks. In fact, there's viewing for up to 1,000 spectators on the feature rink. The Hockey Store is well stocked and carries a generous selection of quality hockey gear from sticks to replacement blades.

Public Skating
If hockey and figure skating aren't your games and you just want a little exercise, public skating sessions of approximately two hours' duration are complete with sound and lighting displays. The backyard pond was never like this!
