Reminiscent of street-side vendors in Paris, Café Crêpe boasts a large window that opens directly onto the sidewalk for street-side service. Right before your eyes, your crêpe is expertly poured, flattened and flipped on the circular grill and folded into perfection around the fillings of your choice. If you’re not on the go, you can enjoy the indoor table service. Inside the funky dining room, you’ll feel like you’ve entered a slick, European café. Burgundy walls adorned with large pieces of bright, bold art, checkered floors, marble pillars and bartops, black leather booths and jazzy music add even more European flair.
Are you sweet or savoury?
Café Crêpe serves up dozens of savoury and sweet crêpes. All of the classic crêpes recipes, alongside some unique café creations. Savoury crêpes fold in cheese, ham, smoked beef, tuna, chicken, egg, spinach or any combination of these ingredients. For your sweet tooth, choices range from the basic lemon and sugar, maple syrup or Nutella and banana, to clever combinations like the “Crêpe du Chef,” which marries applesauce, banana and cinnamon. You can also jazz up your crêpe with a shot of liquor. Try the “Exotique” (rum, coconut and banana) or the “Special de Café Crêpe” (Nutella, hazelnut, Grand Marnier and banana). If you prefer your alcohol in a glass, Café Crêpe has a full service bar and boasts the lowest liquor prices downtown.
