CTV viewers voted Burgers Etc. the number one place in Metro Vancouver to chow down on homestyle burgers—substantial ones at that. Starting with 6 ounces of ground chuck steak, every burger is seasoned with secret spices, grilled medium well and topped off with fresh fixings: mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion and a dill pickle. Customers may select one of several traditional side orders, including baked beans, coleslaw, corn niblets, potato salad, fries, soup or a green salad. Barbecue, spicy or grilled Chicken Burgers, and savoury Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Beef Dip and Spicy Italian Sausage Sandwiches are also available. If you’re really hungry, there are plenty of extra toppings to choose from, such as bacon, cheese, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed onions, a pineapple ring, a fried egg, jalapeno peppers, banana peppers and sauerkraut.
Savoury Barbecue
From slow-smoked pork ribs served up with barbecue chicken, to helpings of pulled pork and beef brisket, to spicy smoked sausage paired with barbecue chicken wings, there’s lots here to satisfy the cravings of any fan of the grill. Customers may choose a combination of any two smoked meats or try a smoked half chicken, barbecue ribs by the pound or taste-test a sampler of two of all the available smoked meats.
Warm Ambiance and Community Spirit
Burgers Etc. has been a local hangout since opening in 2005. Regulars like to come in and watch the game—whatever the game may be. Its cozy, down-to-earth ambiance makes this a real “people place.” And every year Burger Etc. hosts a 5-minute Burger Eating Contest with 50 per cent of the proceeds going to the restaurant’s charity of choice.
