Profile Last Updated: April 22, 2009
The philosophy of The Bullpen is to start children out in baseball by involving them in year round instruction programs in order to help them develop skills through muscle memory, practice and discipline. This baseball training school offers regular classes running on a modified schedule. If keeping a regular class schedule is difficult during this time, they also offer half-hour or one hour private lessons. These lessons will help to straighten out any bad habits that may be starting to form.
Test drive
With such a wide variety of training programs open to take, the best way to choose is to go through the Bullpen’s evaluation process. Come in for a one hour private evaluation and an instructor will take you through a few hitting, pitching and catching exercises to determine your skill set and level. The staff will then evaluate what needs work and create a program that will work the best for you and your child.
Popular services
The Bullpen has two professional-sized public batting cages and four pitching mounds. Softball, slow pitch, and baseball pitching machines are also available. All machines are hand-fed, so working with a partner is necessary. The Bullpen also offers team clinics where they join you during a practice to help out both players and coaches. Coaches can choose from a range of skill development classes – hitting, pitching, fielding, base running, cut-offs, run downs, relays and situational plays. Focus on all or just a couple – the choice is yours!
