Whistler’s Brandy’s at the Keg is reminiscent of the fictional TV bar, Cheers. The lighting is low, the interior is comprised of dark wood finish and plush, deep reds; and there are plenty of regulars milling around on any given night. The characters in Whistler’s version of Cheers are hip snowboarders and young professionals as opposed to middle-aged mailmen and witty psychologists – but it’s welcoming all the same. With only 160 seats, the vibe is laid back and intimate.
Sports bar and great après spot
With 10 plasma TVs and a jumbo screen, it’s the perfect place to catch an NHL or NFL game after a day on the slopes. Located on the main floor of the Keg Steakhouse, Brandy’s is in close proximity to the juiciest steak and potatoes meal in town. The beef dip and chicken wings are also highly recommended as appetizers. They have an extensive cocktail list and the beer flows freely. The Keg Steakhouse takes up the second and third floors of the building and seats an additional 260 people. The bar is located in the same building as the Whistler Village Inn and Suites, so it can get busy during holiday periods.
