50s-style diner in Maple Ridge
The name says it all: Bobby Sox 50’s Diner. The interior décor here adheres to 50s fashions of the day and offers an original atmosphere to eat in. Walls are decorated with vintage Coke ads, classic movie posters, and the furniture consists mainly of, of course, red vinyl booths. Located right on the main thoroughfare of Lougheed Highway, it’s not surprising that they get a mix of people driving by who were drawn in by the old fashioned neon signs.

Casual home cooking
Some call it a greasy spoon, while others prefer to call the cuisine fast homemade food. Either way, no one can argue that it’s served in large portions. Wholesome menu options include popular poutine, burgers and sandwiches. Nothing fancy, just classic home cooking. Old school milkshakes are served up in thick, sizeable portions using real ice cream. A small selection of beer and wine is also available. Did we mention coffee and pop are bottomless? Now that’s old fashioned.

Friendly service
Other than being known for its large portions of old fashioned home cooking, Bobby Sox 50’s Diner is also known for its friendly service. Many of the customers are regulars, so the atmosphere is super casual. The wait staff are welcoming and make sure that their customers leave happy and full. Especially happy are children and vegetarians, who have menu options just for them.
