A Cajun/Creole Experience on the IslandJust a few minutes from the popular Butchart Gardens and perched along the waterfront of Brentwood Bay, Blues Bayou Cafe is the premier Cajun/Creole restaurant on the island. On a beautiful warm day, take advantage of the outside deck for a view of the water and the heat of the sun. All year round, choose a table inside for the rustic atmosphere and the large collection of southern memorabilia that covers the walls while still enjoying the waterfront view through the large windows.

Southern Flare
All the menu items have catchy names to match the big Cajun/Creole style taste. Start out with the Voodoo Dippin Cauldron, a combination of fire roasted pepper blended with cream cheese, artichokes, spinach, roasted garlic and mozzarella, served with cornbread and tortilla chips for dipping. For a southern twist on the classic Oyster’s Rockerfeller, try the Street Car Oysters -- four Cajun cornmeal crusted fanny bay oysters broiled with roasted garlic, spinach, onion, bacon and hollandaise sauce served with warm cornbread. On the lighter side, try the Bayou Salad for an exotic treat of mixed greens, spinach, avocado, Bermuda onion, oranges, asiago cheese and then topped with roasted almonds and citrus Vinaigrette.

Eat, Drink and Go Home Happy
Choose from a unique selection of main lunch and dinner items including, the Whistling Dixie, a Cajun tortilla filled with lime infused chicken tenders, mango chutney, cream cheese, red onions, banana peppers, sprouts and lettuce. Go Italian and Southern at the same time with the Mississippi Seafood Cannelloni, homemade noodles stuffed with a combination of salmon, halibut, crab and shrimp in a lemon caper dill sauce that is topped with steamed mussels and mozzarella. A selection of white and red wine is also available to accompany your southern culinary experience.
