The Green Floor
Located on Robson Street, the Blue Horizon boasts some of the most spectacular views of English Bay, Burrard Inlet and the city. Sitting between the financial district and Stanley Park, and only minutes away from Gastown, Chinatown, and Theatre Row on Granville Street, this hotel features first-class amenities and great service. Environmentalists will love the ninth floor – a "Green Floor." This specialized floor features energy-efficient lighting, low-flow shower heads and recycling bins. The Blue Horizon actually pulled in an award from BC Hydro in 1997, for its environment-friendly policy. With respect to the environment and health, the hotel maintains a totally smoke free policy.

Blue Horizon offers 214 spacious corner rooms on 27 floors. Floors 15-30 feature superior rooms with magnificent views. They also boast a king size bed and duvet, large colour TV with remote, free high speed Internet access, telephone, clock radio and private washroom with hairdryer. Living rooms contain a spacious sofa, oversized armchair and ottoman. Almost like being at home, you also get a work desk, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, telephone, voicemail, dataport, minibar, tea kettle and a coffee maker with complimentary coffee and tea.

Living it up
Inlets Bistro, the lobby restaurant, specializes in west coast cuisine, while Shenanigans has big screen sports action and dancing on weekends. A summer sidewalk café is available from May through October. A fitness centre, located on the bright mezzanine level, features a heated indoor lap pool, whirlpool, dry sauna and global gym, free to registered guests. For conferences, meetings or parties, the Penthouse Summit facility provides full-service catering and meeting planning. On the 31st floor, the space has glass on three walls so guests can view the Harbour, the city, English Bay, Stanley Park, Lions Gate Bridge, and the North Shore Mountains.
