Nestled in amongst the usual smattering of name-brand coffee shops in the heart of Kerrisdale is Bean Brothers Café ― a local bistro that refuses to conform. The café is a staple of this cheerful Vancouver community, welcoming regulars and friends with a large selection of comfort foods, coffees, teas, beverages and desserts. The décor is warm and inviting, and ample indoor seating allows coffee sippers to mingle with friends, study or read.
Munch and Lunch
Bean Brothers offers peckish patrons such snacks as pizza from its own wood-fired oven or one of many delicious sandwiches on the menu, including ooey gooey grilled cheese. A full menu of breakfast favourites includes croissants, muffins and other fresh-baked pastries. Stop in before 11 a.m. and pick up some homemade Neopolitan pastries ― they sell fast!
Sip and Whip
House coffee specialties at Bean Brothers include the Café Glace, made with ice cream, milk, espresso and topped with fresh whipped cream. Another classic favourite is the Mint Hot Chocolate, with cocoa, peppermint, steamed milk and a generous serving of whip. Hot and cold brewed bevies alike are perfectly paired with mouthwatering desserts like chocolate or carrot cake, and fabulous fudge brownies.
