Converted in 1992 from a former warehouse, the funky, brick-lined Bar None, located in the fashionable Yaletown district, offers a cool and hip urban atmosphere with three fully stocked bars, comfortable seating and a large dance floor. Some high drink tables incorporate games like checkers and coin shuffle, while comfy couches add to the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
Choose a night
Crowds and music at Bar None vary depending on the night. Mondays and Tuesdays find people from the bar and film industries relaxing to live bands. Thursdays and Fridays are DJ nights, attracting a crowd of Yaletown locals and young downtown professionals. Friday there are often international guest DJs and Saturdays see an eclectic R&B/hip hop crowd, with music from DJs running live on The Beat radio station. The Club is only open Wednesdays for special events, like new music and video launches. Pricing is higher, but anyone's welcome with a cover charge. They also do wrap parties and private functions.
Avoid the lines and cover charge
Payment at the door is cash only, but the bars take all cards. Membership is free and gets you an e-mail notice of all special events. If you answer via e-mail, there's no waiting or cover charge, but entry is still based on availability. Capacity is about 230 people. Bypass the line-up before 10 p.m. by calling 604-684-3044 or e-mail a guest list (first and last names of all guests are required), but make sure to give at least 48 hours notice. You will be notified of confirmation only if space is available
Reservations: For guest list, call 604-684-3044.
