A Posh Place to Star Spy
Au Bar, Vancouver’s first upscale nightclub, welcomed its first partygoers in 2000. Since then it has built on the buzz and success and continues to draw the crème de la crème of the city’s social circuit to its dance floor, bar and lounge. Oozing chic, with stylish furniture and custom furnishings, Au Bar is known for offering a sophisticated and classy clubbing experience. It’s also a hub for Hollywood North: Ryan Phillipe, Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, rock stars and a few local sports stars are some of the A-list personalities who have been sighted past the velvet rope.

Dance the Night Away
Au Bar parties it up five nights a week with hot R&B, hiphop, Top 40 and Latin beats beckoning people on to the high-ceilinged dance floor. The club can accommodate up to 350 people, and is available for private bookings on Tuesdays and Sundays. The club also has a reputation for taking care of its best patrons. The VIP lounge, a less noisy, more intimate, ultra-luxe space, is the place to hobnob and offers an exclusive bar stacked with the best wines and liquors.

But Remember to Dress Up
No guarantees you’ll be brushing shoulders with hockey players and starlets, but one thing is for sure: dressing down is not an option. The crowd tends to be young, urban, professional and dressed to impress. The bouncers enforce a strict dress code. So put on your weekend best, whip out that mobile phone, walk the walk, talk the talk and you’ll do just fine.
