Granville Street’s Gallery Row, complete with over 20 galleries in addition to the countless cafés, restaurants, furniture stores, tile shops, and other home beautification stores, has become the hub of Vancouver’s growing art scene. Only five minutes from downtown on a transportation crossroads, the Row is a must-visit destination for the artistically inclined.
Focus on Young & Emerging Canadian Talent
Atelier focuses on painting and drawing by younger and emerging Canadian talent but you’ll also find works by artists in mid career. Two exhibit spaces make it possible to offer more than one show simultaneously – exhibitions last about three weeks. Atelier’s website – ateliergallery.ca – is always up to date with current exhibit details. A member of the Art Dealers Association of Canada (ADAC), Atelier Gallery has easily become one of the more dependable galleries in the city.
A Vancouver institution for more than three decades, the Atelier Gallery has been exposing gallery goers and art buyers to consistently high quality art, ranging from the unabashedly decorative to the sombre and serious. Some of Vancouver’s finest artists exhibit in this austere gallery.
