Araxi has been voted the best restaurant in Whistler by Vancouver Magazine an unprecedented six consecutive years. Considered one of the top seven chefs in the country, executive chef James Walt has created a fabulous menu using the best ingredients the Pacific Northwest has to offer. From towers of quality seafood to fresh fish, AAA beef, Kobe-style pork and free range chicken, the wonderful food at Araxi aims to please. Pastry chef Aaron Heath’s seasonal dessert menu also showcases local fruits and berries, his mastery of chocolate and baked goods.
Inside, the Werner Forster designed dining room brings together terracotta floors and leather furnishings to create an atmosphere of warmth even in the heart of winter. You’ll also find a collection of precious antiques and original artwork throughout the space. Araxi has an 80-seat patio, seafood and oyster bar as well as a lounge furnished with high tables and comfortable leather stools. A private wine room for up to 18 people is also available.
Wining and Dining
Forget Whistler, Araxi’s 11,000 bottle wine collection featuring over 800 different labels is among the best in British Columbia, consistently winning the Best Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator Magazine and the Gold and Silver awards for Best Wine List in BC at the Vancouver International Wine Festival. Critics and diners agree Araxi is one of the top fine dining experiences in Whistler.
