Welcoming atmosphere
Family owned and operated, Alzu’s is known for its friendly service and down-to-earth atmosphere. The simple, spacious restaurant is located at the corner of the busy Bay and Blanshard intersection, and is a favourite spot to pop in for a meal any time of day. In the summer, the sunny patio with lots of greenery is a popular spot, while the round leather booths look particularly cozy on winter days.

The menu with everything
Alzu’s is open 24 hours a day and offers its complete menu at any time. All-day (and night) breakfast is popular, with choices ranging from flapjacks and fruit, to savoury omelets. At lunchtime, hearty sandwiches and burgers are flying out of the kitchen and daily specials offer great value. Carnivores will love the steak and rib entrées, while vegetarians will be delighted with the range of options from artisan salads to healthy pastas. If you’re meeting friends for a few drinks, there’s also an excellent range of appies and beer-crust pizzas.

Holiday meals
Alzu’s is known for putting on festive, inclusive holiday meals complete with decorations and music. The restaurant cooks up Thanksgiving, Easter and Christmas meals with all the fixings, and offers a welcoming atmosphere in which single people can meet new friends. Alzu’s has also hosted free holiday meals for the homeless.
