Authentic Experience
The décor at Agro Café is both stylish and relaxed with simple warm coffee tones throughout. Part of the intent of the cafe is to educate people about fair-trade coffee and tell the story of where their coffee comes from. This is achieved by projecting images of bean farmers in Kenya as well as statistics and information that are easy to digest with your coffee and snack. There’s also African art on the walls, including masks, and small wood figurine carvings on the tables. Agro offers free wireless Internet and complimentary newspapers and magazines to complete your relaxing experience. In the warmer months, you can enjoy your brew on the large terrace. If you decide to take your java to go, it naturally comes in an eco-friendly compostable cup. If you love the coffee and want to enjoy it at home, you can bring home a bag of Agro coffee beans.
Taste the Difference
Every cup at Agro is brewed for the individual customer in a unique single-cup brewer, which allows you to select your roast and origin. Moreover, the beans are all roasted in small batches in the cafe, which yields a richer flavour that better exhibits the unique character of the beans. Like a glass of fine wine, the baristas will recommend a food pairing to compliment your coffee. Agro serves homemade organic muffins, a variety of sweet treats, as well as lunch items like fresh salads, sandwiches and paninis.
Crop 2Cup
Agro Cafe is dedicated to promoting fair-trade practices and coined the term “Crop2Cup” to describe the direct link between the cafe, the customers and the farmers. Agro benefits from a unique position as an importer, roaster and retailer, which allows it to select the best coffee on the market and work with farmers who share the same ideals and treat their worker with respect. This also allows Agro to be certain that everyone involved in the production chain is being treated with respect and is being compensated fairly.
