Insipiring
Agnes Jean Boutique’s founder, Georgia Richards, has always been environmentally minded, and her greatest inspiration has been her grandma. So when the opportunity arose to open her own store full of organic and environmentally friendly products, she decided to name it after her grandma, Agnes Jean.
The Store
The boutique opened in 2006 and has gained a Sea to Sky clientele hailing from West Vancouver all the way to Pemberton. Agnes Jean Boutique is open and spacious and always smells lovely, thanks to essential oils. Decorated with green hues, hardwood floors, a few chandeliers and other subtle antique accents, the store is modern and welcoming. Georgia’s dog, Shubin is a regular too.
Organic and Environmentally Friendly Products
Agnes Jean Boutique carries organic, local and sustainable clothing, bedding, beauty products and home decor, as well as a large selection of essentials for today’s organic baby. Georgia carries Vancouver-based sustainable clothing lines Elroy Apparel, Salts Organic Clothing, and Stewart+Brown. Other products you’ll find at Agnes Jean include beauty products from Bowen Island, organic tableware, bamboo products, recycled glassware, and organic cotton towels and bedding. For green-minded moms and dads, there are organic cotton baby clothes and non-toxic baby products, such as glass baby bottles. In a day and age when there are warnings about dangerous baby toys, Agnes Jean carries natural toys made from wool, natural rubber and wood.
