Tucked under the Granville Bridge, The Adventure Zone is a first and last stop to Granville Island – a popular tourist destination. Open all year round, it’s the biggest, and likely the best, indoor playground for children in downtown Vancouver. It’s also a part of the Kid’s Market complex, which offers many other shops and services.
Four Stories of Fun
Dominating the playground is the massive, four-story Adventure Zone jungle gym. With climbing structures, nets, slides, tunnels and large ball pit, it will entertain kids for hours. The gym is fully enclosed and semi-supervised. Children are checked in and out only by their parents, who can either join in the fun or watch from the Rainbow Bridge. There’s also an arcade, featuring games for the young and the young at heart. For the little ones, there are coin-operated ticket redemption games and rides. For older children, dance machines, linked racing games and virtual skiing will keep them chuckling and challenged.
Sweet Treats and Party Packages
The newest addition is Ribbit’s Candy Corner - a small shop with a huge selection! Its shelves are stocked with old fashioned favorites like Pez and Pixie Stix, as well as slushies for hot summer days, and of course, popcorn. The Adventure Zone is also a great place for kids’ parties, with special packages like the Art Party, with ceramic painting; and the After-Hours Party, where the whole Zone can be booked from 5:30-7:30 p.m. With two available party rooms, there’s space for up to 40 kids.
