Vancouverites love their bicycles, as the two-wheeled traffic along the seawall and virtually every main and side street can attest. While not all of us are die-hard cyclists or even athletic, cycling is one of those things that can get you from point A to B and still be fun while you're doing it. The fun factor is what encouraged Olympic cyclist Lorne “Ace” Atkinson to open Ace Cycle Shop in 1949. With such a head start in enthusiasm, passion and know-how, it's no wonder this little bicycle shop has been around so long.
Community & Service
What really makes Ace Cycle Shop stand apart from the rest is the fact that it's a family owned and operated business, and one gets the feeling of friendly, honest service as soon they step inside. As well as a warm welcome, Ace also offers such services as full bike tune-ups if your bike has been in storage for a few months, informed recommendations for making your bike riding more comfortable and customized to your needs, installation of new parts and repairs of old.
By the Bike
Ace Cycle Shop caters to both the seasonal and the daily cyclist. With an effort to make urban cycling both affordable and comfortable, Ace is the perfect place to enhance your knowledge of bicycles and riding as well as talk shop with people in the business. Whether you're ready to brush off your trusty old bike or your prized possession needs a tweak, drop into Ace Cycle Shop for friendly service and a full selection of urban, mountain, path and children's bicycles.
Note: Due to high volume during the summer months, it's best to call for a servicing appointment
Parking: Metered street parking
