Aboriginal Arts is an art gallery featuring West Coast-style Aboriginal art. Aboriginal Arts offers unique and rare gallery collections of native art. They carry an assortment of fine pieces created by local B.C. artists. Serious and amateur collectors alike will relish the items offered by Aboriginal Arts.
Local Artists
Many of Aboriginal Arts’ carvings are created by local artists. These artists maintain and revive the history of the culture of British Columbia’s First Nations peoples. They achieve this with art from a number of preserved tribes. These include the Musqueam, Kwakiutl and Haida. Many of the collections of these native artists are recognized as true art among Canadian Artists.
In Store
Aboriginal Arts’ gallery contains a wide variety of items. These include carved wooden masks, paddles and soapstone carvings. In addition, there are cedar bent boxes, drums, moccasins and dream catchers. Also in store: wood carvings, silver jewellery, prints, acrylic paintings and one-of-a-kind items.
Native Themes
Among the common themes appearing in these work are eagles, salmon, killer whales, beavers and caribou.
