Two Storeys
Two floors house many good, previously enjoyed stories at ABC Book & Comic Emporium located just off Granville on West Broadway. While the bookstore specializes in science fiction, fantasy novels and comics, it also sells some really rare and hard-to-find items, as well as prose, poetry, mystery and many other genres. The selection is wide and caters to collectors and junkies of every category.

Two Packed
One can only describe ABC as packed to rafters with books, comics, VHS tapes and previously viewed DVDs. It’s literally stuffed with reading and viewing material – books line the giant floor-to-ceiling shelves, overflow out of barrels and stuff antique dresser drawers. The second storey is even less tidy than the first. Luckily, everything is arranged alphabetically and by genre, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find what you’re craving. Be sure to check out the racks thick with comic books protected in plastic, which date back to a time before Wolverine joined the X-men.

Two Residents You Must Meet
When you stop by ABC, be sure to say hello to the casually employed felines. Yes, two real bookworm cats live at the store, and often greet (or surprise) customers by climbing, with or without invitation, onto their shoulders. While the kitties aren’t for sale, most paperback novels in the store go for under $5, so you can really stock up on some bargain reading material.
