Set in the heart of Whistler Village, this hotel is only 100 yards from the ski lifts of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, and features 100 deluxe guest rooms. Together with the hundreds of reasons to be in the Whistler area means there are many strong arguments for staying at the Best Western Listel Whistler Hotel. It’s cosy and welcoming, with winter guests greeted by a cheery stone-faced fireplace in the lobby. Premium golf, skiing, sightseeing and romance packages are readily available and organised through the hotel. Besides its proximity to great alpine and cross-country skiing facilities, the hotel is just a short walk from world-class shopping, dining and entertainment. In the summer, the numerous nearby activities include biking, watersports, horseback riding, and tennis.
Familiar and friendly, the Listel’s accommodations are bright and comfortable. The bathrooms feature granite counters, dark wood vanities, oversized basin-style sinks with goose neck faucets, and high efficiency lighting. Rooms and suites come with luxurious European down duvets, remote-controlled cable TV, in-room movies and a Play Station, coffee/tea makers, mini fridge, direct dial telephones with data ports, iron and ironing board and, secure safes. WiFi Internet access is available at a minimum charge and ethernet Internet connection is available for laptop computers. Children and youths under the age of 18 can stay free with an adult. Pets are welcome in the first floor rooms.
An outdoor heated pool, saunas and open-air Jacuzzis add to the resort-style Listel Whistler atmosphere. All types of eateries are within easy walking distance of the Listel Whistler, but one of the best reasons to stay here is the on-site Bearfoot Bistro Restaurant which is a destination in itself. You’ll understand why it’s a local hotspot when you hear that the executive chef has won the ‘Canada’s Best Chef’ award at the Gold Medal Plate’s Canadian Culinary Championships. Among the Bistro’s mouth-watering menu offerings are Dry-aged Sterling Silver Beef Rib-Eyes, Fraser Valley Duck Breast, and Digby Scallops and Atlantic Lobster. And for special celebrations – or just because you feel like indulging – there’s Seared Foie-gras, Black Perigord Truffles, perhaps accompanied by a bottle of Dom Perignon 1999. Indulge!
Take Note: The Listel Whistler is a short walk from the Whistler Conference centre.
